My first memories of literature was having my mom read bible stories to me. Bible stories as a child always left room for my mind to wonder about a boy who defeated a giant! The most recent book that has impacted my life is "Crazy Love." The book started off by giving great fundamentals on the basics that we should know living day by day with God. Then it plasters you with the love of God, and we can begin to live lives with confidence and a relationship with an amazing God.Literature is important because it exercises our imaginations, and makes us create the characters in our heads. The lack of imagination in today's society I feel also reflects the way we view God and the goals we choose in life. With no imagination or faith in a God who can do anything. We find ourselves wrapped up in the certain and limit God to the way we think He should work.In some ways literature can be negative because people can distort it.

  1. Hi Samuel, I remember my mother reading the bible to me as well.

What a neat way to get started into the "world" of text and stories.

I agree with you on this: Imagination is a pretty important faculty to exercise.

(Also, I wonder if you could elaborate more on these. This is a pretty short post. The minimum should be 300 words.)

  2. Samuel, I can also say that reading the Bible was too one of my earliest memories of literature, eventhough i didnt mention it on my blog. Theres no way to better start out life than reading the word of God and I think every parent should do that with their children.
